Make sure your system volume is already near the top — SoundLift adds on top of it. Also check that the boost is above 100% on the dial. On a few devices the manufacturer limits audio effects; SoundLift detects this and falls back to a simpler engine, which is quieter but safer.
Some devices don't support the advanced audio engine. On those, SoundLift shows a 5-band equalizer instead — that is your device's limit, not a bug. Everything else keeps working.
To hear what is playing on your device and adjust the sound to it. The analysis happens on your phone, in the moment. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent anywhere. If you'd rather not grant it, the rest of the app works fully without AI.
Android exposes what's playing through a permission called "Notification access". SoundLift uses it only to read the active media session — track, artist, cover and position — so it can show controls. Notification content is never read or stored.
SoundLift includes a limiter to prevent this, but very small speakers can still struggle with heavy bass at extreme levels. Lower the boost slightly, or reduce the Bass knob in the equalizer.
Open the Play Store → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SoundLift → Cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
Open the paywall in the app and tap Restore purchases. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the Google Play order number from your receipt and we will sort it out.
See the data deletion page — uninstalling removes everything stored on your device, and you can request deletion of analytics and subscription records by email.
